The Geography program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is hosting this year's annual meeting of the Great Plains-Rocky Mountain (GPRM) Division of the American Association of Geographers (AAG) October 14-16, 2021. The event will be held in-person at Nebraska Innovation Campus and The Graduate Hotel as well as virtually.

The AAG is a nonprofit scientific and educational society founded in 1904 to contribute to the advancement of geography. Members represent nearly 100 countries and connect at regional annual meetings. The event is part of the new "AAG Regions Connect: A Joint Climate Forward Initiative".

This year's in-person conference includes poster and paper sessions, panels, workshops, a keynote talk from AAG President Emily T. Yeh of the University of Colorado at Boulder, and the GeoBowl student competition.

Unique to the Lincoln venue will be a virtual field trip of the city's soil system and a walking tour of Centennial Mall.
