Transportation

Getting to AAG GPRM 2021: The Graduate Hotel

From the Airport (LNK):

The Graduate Hotel has a complimentary airport shuttle that can take you to and from the Lincoln Airport (LNK) by request. Guests staying at the conference hotel should make arrangements directly with the hotel staff. Other guests have a variety of transportation options: Lyft and Uber rideshares are widely available throughout Lincoln including the airport. Typical rideshare costs from the airport to campus and conference hotels are about $9-12. Rental car companies including Alamo, National, Enterprise, Hertz, and Avis are located on the first floor of the Lincoln Airport terminal, and information on local cab companies is also available at the airport information kiosk on the first floor of the terminal.

By vehicle:

From the west or east: take Interstate 80 toward Lincoln and follow the signs to merge onto Interstate 180. Interstate 180 is a spur into the Lincoln downtown area, and it ends and merges with 9th street for southbound traffic. The Graduate Hotel is located on 9th street only three blocks after the merge, on the right. University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s city campus is located just a few blocks to the east: bounded roughly by 10th street to the west; R street to the south; Antelope Valley Parkway to the east; and Salt Creek Roadway (adjacent to and parallel to the railroad tracks) to the north.

From the south: take Homestead Expressway (US-77) northbound toward Lincoln until you reach Rosa Parks Way. Follow Rosa Parks Way into the city until you reach 9th street (here, the Rosa Parks Way highway ends and becomes L street)– turn left (north) at 9th street: the Graduate Hotel is located just four blocks north on the left.

Getting to AAG GPRM 2021: Innovation Campus

Innovation Campus is located northeast of University of Nebraska’s City Campus, on the old state fairgrounds along the banks of Salt Creek. The Innovation Campus is rather large: bounded on the west by Antelope Valley Parkway and on the east by 27th street. AAG presentation events will be held at the Conference Center.

Follow the above directions to reach downtown Lincoln.

Riding the bus:

UNL, in collaboration with Lincoln’s StarTran transit system, provides a free bus between UNL’s city campus and the Innovation campus. Walk to Vine Street on the UNL City campus and look for the #22 Bus (NIC). These buses run every 7-8 minutes between 7:00 AM and 6:00PM.

Walking:

Events on Innovation Campus will be held at the Innovation Campus Conference Center, which is about 1.2 miles from City Campus and 1.8 miles from the Graduate Hotel. However, pedestrian pathways underneath the major roadways allow pedestrians to avoid high-traffic areas along Antelope Valley Parkway and Salt Creek Roadway, making the walking time about 20-35 minutes. Willing pedestrians should head north along 16th street and continue to follow the sidewalk underneath Antelope Valley, then turn left and follow the pedestrian/bike paths underneath the railway bridge and Salt Creek bridge to circumvent the major roadways. After emerging from the underpass, pedestrians should turn right and follow the trail along Court Street toward the large conference center.

Driving:

Follow Salt Creek Roadway northeast from UNL’s city campus. Take the first left turn into the Nebraska Innovation Campus (21st street). Continue straight until the road ends at a stop sign and T intersection with “Transformation Drive.” Guest parking is located directly ahead. Turn left or right onto Transformation Drive to access the parking area on either side.
