
Bio
Kirk Dombrowski received his PhD in cultural anthropology from the CUNY Graduate Center in 1998. Before coming to UNL, he was a faculty member in the Anthropology Department at John Jay College, CUNY and at the CUNY Graduate Center. His work focuses on social networks, health, and health disparities—with ongoing NIH and NSF funded research projects in the Arctic, rural Nebraska, and the Caribbean. At UNL he is the John Bruhn Professor of Sociology, Principal Investigator at the REACH Lab, and Director of UNL’s Minority Health Disparities Initiative.
