Major: Anthropology
Minors: Political science, global studies
Hometown: Uncasville, CT

Favorite book
My favorite book is either Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison or Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. These books are some of my favorites as they are just so emotional and well written. When reading these books you just get lost in the life’s of the characters.

Favorite movie
My favorite movie is probably Les Misérables. Les Miz is my all time favorite musical and the movie adaptation is pretty great. I will say my favorite movie changes every few hours, so if you ask me again I’d probably have a different answer!

Why are you studying your chosen major and minors?
I just have always been curious about the fields I’m studying. I think some of the best things are to learn about are other people and cultures. I’m one of those people that thinks that you can never learn about too many things. Everyone at least once should take an Anthropology course. There is something for everyone within the field and you can always relate it to your interests.

Extracurricular activities
Since coming here to UNL I have been involved in two RSOs. One of them is SustainUNL and the other is AnthroGroup. One thing that I am passionate about is environmentalism and sustainability for Sustain was a great way to get involved with other people who are passionate about it as well. In AnthroGroup we have a great range of majors who are a part of the group. This creates an awesome experience for anybody who is interested in the Anthropology field and it’s a great way to meet other people.`

Post-graduation plans
An ideal career of mine would be one where I get to help people. My goal is to get my Ph.D. in Forensic Anthropology so I’ll ideally be working within the field.
