Summer 2020 will show a new approach to our typical summer field school. In adjusting to online formats, Dr. Bill Belcher will lead a hybrid online and in-person forensic archaeology field school. Four weeks of the course will be based on online content and an additional few days will be spent locally in the field, excavating faux clandestine burials. More on our archaeological field school.

Dr. Gwyneth Tally is teaching Belief Systems: Animism to Zombies during the first five week session. The course will explore the diversity of beliefs and rituals surrounding the mysteries of birth, death, and the afterlife.
ANTH 212
Dr. Emira Ibrahimpasic is teaching Introduction to Cultural Anthropology during the eight week session. This course is required for the anthropology major and serves as an ACE 6.
ANTH 442/842
Dr. Emily Hammerl is teaching Human Variation. The explores the variation of modern humans worldwide through time and space. The course is an ACE 9 and 10.
ANTH 110
Drs. LuAnn Wandsnider and Taylor Livingston are teaching Introduction to Anthropology during the summer sessions. This course is required for anthropology minors and serves as an ACE 9 and 6.
