Former Nebraska Senator Ken Haar and Kenneth Winston, Director of Policy and Outreach at Nebraska Interfaith Power and Light, offered students an opportunity to experience driving a Tesla Roadster while learning the postive effects on the environment.
This was part of Dr. Ken Dewey's UHON 395 course, "Living with our changing climate." Dewey said, "This is a great opportunity for our CAS students to get hands-on experience in ways to combat global warming."
The vehicles are owned by Dr. Donald Cox, adjunct professor in the College of Engineering, who considers himself an evangelist of electric cars.
