Garfield earns HBES award

Alumnus Zach Garfield (BA, anthropology and psychology, 2012) earned a 2021 New Investigator Award from the Human Behavior and Evolution Society. The study, "Universal and variable leadership dimensions across human societies", was published in Evolution and Human Behavior.

He is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse and co-director of the Omo Valley Research Project. While at Nebraska, he was a McNair Scholar and part of the university's Honors Program.
