Bio
Dr. Reg Murphy is the representative for Antigua and Barbuda to UNESCO. He is the President of the Historical and Archaeological Society of Antigua and an archaeologist with expertise in historical buildings restoration, construction management, and the development and management of parks, protected areas and heritage sites, and is a recipient of the title of Member of the order of the British Empire award. He has conducted archaeological research in the Caribbean region for about 25 years and is a founding member of the Museum of Antigua. He serves on several government advisory committees for tourism, heritage, and environment. Dr. Murphy was educated in Canada, and although resident in Antigua, continues to work with graduate students as an external advisor.
