Geographer J. Clark Archer and Ph.D. alumni Robert Watrel, Ryan Weichelt, Fiona Davidson, and Erin Fouberg are co-editors of the upcoming "Atlas of the 2016 Elections" that uses geography to examine the 2016 political elections.

Over 100 maps cover the presidential election process from primary campaigns to the final results, along with coverage of city, state, and Congressional races.

Archer has studied elections for years and co-edited "Atlas of the 2012 Elections" and "Atlas of the 2008 Elections."

"This beautifully executed work uses maps, charts, and text to effectively analyze and communicate the interplay of political forces and geography," says a Booklist starred review for the book covering the 2008 elections. "[It is] much more than a reference work."

The newest atlas is available for pre-order and will be published February 1, 2018.
