Join the School of Global Integrative Studies for the second installment of our virtual colloquium series on October 20, 2020 at 12:30pm via Zoom. Dr. Leila Rodriguez, associate professor at the University of Cincinnati, will be present a lecture titled "Social and Legal Tools in the Integration of Refugees and Migrants: the Role of Communities and Experts."

Dr. Rodriguez is a cultural anthropologist and demographer whose research centers on the local integration dynamics of migrants. A second line of research examines the use of culture as judicial evidence – in the form of anthropological expert testimony – in legal conflicts that involve immigrants and refugees.

Registration is required at go.unl.edu/sgis-colloquium-oct20.

This lecture is a part of our Virtual Fall Colloquium Series Engaging Human Rights: Humanity on the Edge.
